The Players Bar
Kalmar FF´s first home game of the season and the usual suspects were onboard. A lot looked familiar. The pitch was in good nick apart from the usual cow patch in the south-west corner. The sun was scorching the t-shirt wearers in the east stand and we had the bring your hat and gloves VIP tickets in the west. Nothing new there. No Martin Nilsson in the lounge this year (busy with his restaurant empire) and his replacement Anders Almgren did a good job apart from one question to Elfsborgs manager that was unnecessary (never criticise the oppositions players). Two improvements were duly noted. A buffet that was Allsvensk class and the biggest upgrade for the year The Players Bar.
A match day atmosphere in the VIP lounge has been missing since the GFA stadium opened. Not anymore. A revamped bar area with a classical bar sofa a well stocked 10 meter long bar and picture wallpaper of ex KFF legends. Great atmosphere that makes game day a winner!
A few words about the main event. Elfsborg looked disjointed throughout and created very little. KFF started well and a great finish from Papa D put them one up. The game never really got into top gear and it is mostly the defenders that get the top marks. Victor Agardius was my mom (man of the match).
